Computational Biologist / Bioinformatician (m/w/d) - 40 h per week, permanent position

We provide a broad portfolio of innovative drug discovery services to a large number of international clients from pharma and biotechnology companies. For our multidisciplinary team, we are looking for a:

Computational Biologist / Bioinformatician (m/w/d) - 40 h per week, permanent position

 

Your responsibilities

  • Bioinformatic, statistical and machine learning analysis of proteomics data (e.g. target identification, protein turnover analysis, treatment-dependent changes of post-translational modifications, disease and treatment biomarkers)
  • Development of automated data analysis workflows and result visualization techniques
  • Applied research projects to establish new services for clients implementing advanced data analysis techniques
  • Generation of reports and presentations for our clients

 Your profile

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, statistics, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in computational biology, preferentially in the analysis of large datasets from omics technologies
  • Strong programming and software development skills: preferably Python + scientific library stack, experience with JavaScript and frontend development is a plus
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in English and German, team spirit and a can-do attitude are desired. You are enthusiastic to learn and move things forward with an experienced team.
  • Knowledge about mass spectrometry-based proteomics, statistics and machine learning is beneficial
  • Own scientific publications, software projects (or similar), and industry experience are a plus
